Sheriff Bob Mosier

Sheriff Bob Mosier and wife Cindy, a former Fauquier Deputy is currently serving with the U.S. Department of State. They have been married for almost 32 years, live in Warrenton Virginia, have 3 grown children, 4 grandchildren with another baby on the way.
Since taking office in 2016 Sheriff Mosier has overseen notable accomplishments that embrace the values of leadership, innovation, and community-policing.

Sheriff Mosier led the Fauquier County Sheriff’s office through the law enforcement accreditation process. This process highlights agencies that practice the best law-enforcement practices through meeting 190 law-enforcement standards. Through this process, Fauquier County received distinguished recognition – taking its role among the top 25% of Virginia Accredited Law Enforcement Institutions – and expanded the opportunities for Fauquier County.

This is the first time in Fauquier County history that accreditation has been achieved.

In his spare time, Sheriff Mosier enjoys hunting, sailing, old cars, and spending time with family – especially the grand-children. Bob and Cindy are both active in the community and with their local church.
